What is a DJ intro edit?
A version of a song with a clean, beat-only intro added at the start, usually 16 or 32 bars, so you have room to blend it in. IntroDrop builds it from the song's own drums, bass or melody. It's not a generic loop, so it sounds like the record.
Does it work with Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor and VirtualDJ?
Yes. You get a normal WAV or MP3, and IntroDrop shows the exact time the original song starts so you can drop a cue point there. The intro is locked to the song's tempo, so beatgrids line up.
How is this different from looping in my DJ software?
Live loops take a hand and a cue in the middle of your set. IntroDrop gives you stems, so you can use drums only, drums with bass, or a build-up where each layer comes in on the phrase. It also hands over to the song on the exact downbeat, ready to play from the top.
Which tracks work best?
Anything with a steady 4/4 beat: house, techno, hip-hop, R&B, Afro, amapiano, reggaeton, pop and more. Tracks with a live drummer or tempo changes work too, and you can pick the loop bars yourself under Advanced.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It's free while in beta, and you don't need an account. Upload a track and go.
What happens to my music?
Your upload is used only to make your intro. It's never shared or listed anywhere, and it's deleted automatically after 24 hours. Only upload music you have the rights to use.
Stem separation takes under a minute on most tracks. After that, every intro renders in seconds.
